I have taken over a drama dept. that had black mold in the basement where the costumes where kept. The former dept. head had a severe reaction to the mold and the institution spent thousands of dollars to clean it up. They are now confident that the problem has been fixed. However, the costumes that were stored there are now in another open air closet, waiting for me to clean and organize them. Are these pieces safe or should they be tossed? There is no visible mold traits on the costumes themselves.

Sorry about the late reply... been down and out with the flu!

Generally, DRY CLEANING will take care of the problem as it arises!
