Hello -
I am hoping someone can help me locate a specific type of exterior door. I remember seeing this type of door on an older home (1970's) back in my hometown but I haven't seen another one ever since.

The door is a solid, exterior door that has a rectangular, framed screen in the middle of it. On the inside of the door are several (maybe 10) small, cross rectangular glass plates that when a lever is pulled, they tilt inward and allow the breeze to blow through the screen and enter the house. The glass plates are louvered and kind of operate like a window blind.

In any case, I hope I described this well enough for someone to know what I am talking about as well as tell me where I could locate one if they're still being made.

Thanks for any information and help!

Greg

Hey Greg, Sounds like "Jealousy Windows". I have some of these on my camper....glass louvers you can open and close with a crank like a casement window. I like them on the camper as they will deflect the rain and still provide venting. Rare on exterior house doors especially these days when people want thermopane glass.
Try Anderson windows.....I read soemwhere they may have them.
Good Luck.

Hey Voyz,

You now have mod status and don't have to go thru the approval process.
