I have a granite (Zodiaq) sink top that has an edge that's unfinished. By unfinished I mean it's unpolished and kind of chalky/dusty. It's flat but it's just powdery and not shiny smooth. I should have had it finished at the factory when I ordered it but I thought it was going to be butted up against a wall. In order to correct my mistake, I was wondering if there's any way possible to smooth or polish the edge myself or am I left with it as it is. It's not a big deal but it would be nice if I could get it as smooth and finished as the sink top itself.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

Try a clear or satin urethane coating. You might want to give it a few coats. The more coats, the smoother it will get and the urethane is durable against moisture and should give you a good bond.
