Anonymous Unregistered

Hello & Help!
This house is 90 some years old.

Tore up old floor that was layer with sheet vinyl, vinyl squares, then ceramic tile embedded in concrete & then different concrete between joists.

After taking all this up, I saw that the joists were not flat, but have points on them. Wonder what to do to get these joists ready to lay down ¾” plywood, then Hardibacker & then I plan to tile the floor with slate.

Please, any recommendations.

not sure what you mean.....points on the joists?.....sounds like you have the right idea re 3/4 ply and Hardiplank backer.
