The overhang of shingles along the edge of a freshly shingled shed roof need to be trimmed. With cool weather upon us, this seems near impossible. Any assistance i.e. tools to make this chore manageable, etc. would be appreciated

A utility knife with a steel straight edge and chalk line works well unless you have a steady hand and a good eye. Also a special roofing blade for cutting shingles is available for your utility knife. Check any home improvement center. Try to pick a warm day and a time when the sun is on the shingles to soften them up. makes the job easier.
