thanks for stoppin in,

i have a deep squeak in my kitchen.

iv'e tried that cheap plastic thing with the screws...that thing just cracked when the screws tightend.

Then i tried the squeek no more thing, i ended up putting a bezillion screws into the floor and still didn't hit the squeak (felt like stevie wonder in a batting cage).

is there a way to pull the floor and joyce together? Thats the way it originally was. Any advice?

Maximum Respect!!!

Your best chance of making this an easy job is if the joists are open to view from underneath the floor. Take some shim shingles and a hammer with you and begin to tap some of these shingles between the under floor and the joists in the area of the squeak. Squeaks are often caused by 2 loose boards rubbing together so the shim shingle will stop the 2 boards from rubbing together by tightening things up.
Good luck.

Thanks for the replys guys!

I found a product that's a clamp that pulls the subfloor down to the joyce($7 Plus ship).

That thing wiped out two squeaks that were about a foot from one another.

Finally i feel comfortable putting ol gal on the market.
