With standard bi-folds you are interested in the finished opening. Bi-folds are designed to the finished opening so when framing allow enough room for the finish board and a little bit of shimming say 1/8" to 1/4" on each side and the top which will allow you to plumb and level the finish boards. Now you are ready to install the bi-fold track.
