If I get the picture, you have a high pitch gable at the troublesome wall. I can see then that this wall may be getting wet a lot especially if it faces the predominant weather activity and if there is no weather barrier like building paper, there may be a lot of moisture getting into the wall more than usuall because of the amount of rain this season. There are forces that could have the potential of displacing sap in the wood and pushing it thru especially if there is no vapout barrier. A vapour barrier prevents diffusion thru the wall. Can you investigate what is immediately behind the plaster? It may have been installed over some kind of existing boarding and there may be no vapour barrier. Let us know. Bart

Hey Jimmy, I know canucks are known to be a little sensitive, but many of us are not. You yanks are going thru some tough times right now and need all the support you can get. Unfortunately, you aren't getting it. Remember, it's tough being at the top. Now let's see if we can help this canuck. Bart
