I found some good sources for you!The wet saw should be fine and you have it handy! But other alternatives are: Here's a how to page in cutting tile >>> http://www.floorstransformed.com/cuttile.html You can snap the intricate cuts in the tile. Here's a link >>> http://www.floorstransformed.com/tilenippers.html And here's a response from another board from a tile contractor. It all depends on the porcelain. I've had some that I could cut all day long, and then some that I can't get a straight cut to save my life---- with the same cutter. Usually the ones that are a problem are the textured unglazed tiles-- the ones made to have a slate-like finish. The reason they're so tough is that because of the texture, it's impossible to get a solid score mark from end to end on the tile, and as a result, it doesn't like to pop where you score it. Your best bet would be to try a few, and if you don't get good results, it might be time to look into renting a wet saw. One thing you might try first, though, and that's oiling up the scoring wheel. Sometimes that makes all the difference in the world. I'll add one other thing-- If you're using a tile that WILL cut on an ordinary cutter, you can score a 1/4" and pop it with snips relatively easily. ------------------ Jimmy McDonald http://www.StartRemodeling.com Jimmy@StartRemodeling.com http://www.ToxicMoldUSA.com McMoldMan@ToxicMoldUSA.com [This message has been edited by RemodelingGuy (edited 08-07-2003).]

I apologize if this is a stupid question but I have a wet saw that I've used in the past to cut ceramic tile. Would the wet saw also be a good choice to use for cutting porcelain tile? The porcelain tile is for the floor and measures 13" x 13". If not, what is the best tool to use to cut procelain tile? Thank you!
